ABOUT DECHI-HTF
We are a grassroots organisation registered with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission as an Incorporated Trustee in 2018. We want to eliminate barriers to achieving a healthy community by prioritising affordability and equity while providing high-quality healthcare services to underserved populations in remote rural areas. We focus on providing primary health care, telemedicine, health education, outreach, and women’s health services in Gembu, on the Mambilla Plateau, Taraba State. However, we aim to expand to other disadvantaged communities in Nigeria and beyond.
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
As a small but ambitious organisation, we use technology to improve healthcare service delivery and connect our patients and members to a global network of health professionals. Our goal is to improve the health and well-being of underprivileged groups and contribute to sustainable development while prioritising affordability and equity. Everyone deserves access to high-quality healthcare regardless of socioeconomic status or geographic location.
HOW WE DO IT
At Dechi Health Trust Fund, we provide various services to improve the health and well-being of the people. We offer primary healthcare, telemedicine, health education and outreach, and women’s health services. Our telemedicine services use e-Likita to connect patients with remote consultations, diagnosis, and treatment from health professionals worldwide. We also provide health education programs and outreach services to promote healthy behaviours and prevent illness. Our women’s health services include antenatal care, contraceptive use and education, and maternal and child health services. We collaborate with local health workers and organisations, provide equipment and supplies, and advocate for policies that promote access to healthcare services. We are proud of our progress so far, but we recognise that much more must be done. So join us in our mission to make quality healthcare accessible to all.
